Analysis of High-Efficiency Grinding with Pin-Type Nano Sand Mill

In today’s high-tech fields such as fine chemicals, new energy, and electronic materials, the fineness and dispersion uniformity of materials directly determine the final product quality. To meet the growing market demand for nano-scale materials, the pin-type sand mill, as a high-energy-density nano-grinding solution, has gained widespread attention and favor among many industrial manufacturers.

From a structural design perspective, the pin-type sand mill adopts an advanced pin-type rotor structure. This unique design enables an energy density of up to 2 kW/dm³, with energy conversion efficiency 2–3 times that of conventional equipment, thus effortlessly achieving high-efficiency nano-scale grinding. In actual production, whether dealing with high-, medium-, or low-viscosity materials, the pin-type sand mill demonstrates excellent adaptability, particularly suited for high-viscosity materials and applications requiring nano-scale fineness.

Moreover, the equipment features outstanding grinding efficiency. Through a three-dimensional shear structure, grinding media are uniformly distributed within the chamber, resulting in a very narrow particle size distribution of the discharge, with D50 values even reaching below 50 nm. In terms of material selection, the rotor can be optionally made of high-wear-resistant steel or zirconia ceramic, perfectly meeting different cleanliness requirements and avoiding metal contamination.

Key technical highlights include a dynamic gap separator that allows the use of grinding beads as small as 0.1 mm, and a double-end mechanical seal system rated at 1 MPa, ensuring safe and stable operation. Combined with a dual cooling jacket design, a PLC intelligent control system, and variable-frequency stepless speed regulation, the pin-type sand mill demonstrates irreplaceable robust performance in applications such as lithium battery slurries, lithium iron phosphate, automotive paints, and pharmaceutical intermediates.
